Once you have a little experience under your belt, it will be time for your supervisor to review your performance and give you feedback. Again, this is nothing to worry about; it’s a normal part of working with a team.

You should think of your review as a positive experience. It’s an opportunity for you to identify areas where you can improve. That means it’s a chance for you to win promotion and make more money!

Here are some tips to help you make the most of your employee review:

Be aware of your own personal development goals: if you know what you hope to achieve in your live chat work, you work with your supervisor to get there faster

Understand your strengths and weaknesses: ask your supervisor for extra training in areas where you are weak, and take every opportunity to leverage your strengths

Be an active listener: don’t be on the defensive; listen carefully to the feedback you get and take helpful advice on board
Take a holistic approach: don’t get bogged down in one negative aspect of the feedback. Focus on the big picture view of how you are progressing
Be honest about problems: if you are struggling in one area, share the problem with your supervisor and ask for help
Find practical ways to apply feedback: when the review is over, it’s time to start improving by applying the advice in all areas of your work

Your first employee review will be the hardest. After that, you will find that things get much easier. Remember that the review system is designed to make the team stronger, which helps everyone become successful.
